WECO Systems International limited started out as an enterprise then known as WECO COMPUTER SYSTEMS in Warri, Delta State in a 7″x16″ room provided by our GMD’s Elder brother. The company was established in 1992 but it wasn’t until 1994 that it was incorporated as a limited liability company and became known as WECO COMPUTER SYSTEMS LIMITED
In the same 1994, the company moved into a three bedroom flat in Warri, Delta State and was chosen to provide Computer Technical Services for NISSCO at their base and Forcados Terminal Integrated Project (FTIP). We deployed Novell network over three locations across 200 desktops. This signified a major step in the history of our growth process.
Propelled by the successes recorded in “break and fix”, the company decided to move its operation to the commercial city of Lagos. So we open our first Lagos office which was located at 33 James Robertson Street, Surulere in 1996. This became necessary as a response to the needs of our expanding customer base. With an increasing customer base came the need to expand so we again moved our office to a full 5 bedroom detached duplex at 55 Bode Thomas Street, Surulere, Lagos. This happened in 1998.
By 2001, WECO Computer Systems limited continued to grow tremendously which led to an increase in market share. In order to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations, we re-located our corporate headquarters to Plot 200B Etim Inyang Crescent, Victoria Island, also in Lagos.
In 2002, we diversified our business and moved into the enterprise network solution space. The company also modified its name to reflect the new business direction and became known as WECO SYSTEMS International Limited. To reflect the new drive, four Sub- Business Units namely Data / Voice, E-Security, Enterprise Management Solutions, and Wireless and Transmission were created. Each of the unit focused and specialized in different technology areas.
In December 2007, we moved into GRACE HOUSE, our corporate head office located in Lekki area of Lagos. This edifice proudly reflects our commitment to the business and our country Nigeria. Today, we have two branches namely; Port-Harcourt and Abuja. The first serves our clients in South –South / South East region, while the second located in the Federal Capital Territory serves our clients in Northern / Middlebelt region.
